2nd Annual SOG Customer Holiday Hop

Starting today, Some Odd Girl is hosting the 2nd annual customer holiday hop (you can see the details here) and I decided to play along!  I've been doing quite a bit of crafting with the holidays around and some of those projects have included some of the images from the shop.  I ended up with two projects to share, so without further ado...

Project One (for the gift category) - We're going to my Uncle's on Christmas Eve for dinner and wanted to take a little something along for the kiddos.  Nothing major, but a little sweet treat.  I made a candy holder card a week or so ago (you can see that post here) so I decided to make three more Christmasy ones:

And here are the insides:

I customized them for each kid on the inside by adding their name, so when I colored the images I tried to keep them in mind.

Kalina has brown hair so when I colored in the Tia image, I made her a brunette:

Shyane's hair is lighter so her Tia image has lighter hair as well:

And since I didn't think Sayjn would appreciate the little girl image, I went with Rawr Tobie (I think it's fun even if it is for a Christmas theme!):

For Project Two, I wanted to take on the all white challenge that was an option for the hop and came up with this lovely:

I stamped the image on the card stock base and colored her in with some Prismacolors.  I added some crystal lacquer to the ornament (which of course you can't see in the pic!)  Then I framed her with a small fancy labels die that was put up on some foam tape.  On this piece I stamped the merry and bright sentiment.  The final piece was another piece of white cardstock that I ran through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder, then cut the next size up fancy label die from that.  I sprayed this top piece with some pearl mist and it is super shimmery in person.  To finish it off, I added a few gemstones to the center of some snowflakes.  I really like how it turned out.  Here's a flat view of the card as well.

Since I'm in the Christmas spirit and just to have a little fun, I thought I'd give this card to a lucky visitor.  Leave a comment during the holiday blog hop by the end of the day on Wednesday, December 21st and I'll pick a commenter at random as the winner.  There may be a few little goodies included with the card as well ;-)  I'll announce the winner on the 23rd so check back to see if you've won.

Continue the hop by heading back to the SOG post here.  Happy hopping and Happy Holidays!!!
